Dr. Wasserman specializes specifically in medication-based management of intractable chronic pain as well as buprenorphine management of opioid addiction. Therefore, Dr. Wasserman does NOT treat chronic pain using injection or surgical techniques.

Dr. Wasserman is an expert in medication management of all types of chronic pain syndromes, including fibromyalgia, chronic low back pain, “failed back syndrome”, chronic neck pain, migraine and other types of headaches, chronic pelvic pain including vulvodynia and interstitial cystitis, and chronic neuropathic pain/neuropathy pain.
Dr. Wasserman has a special interest in treating chronic pelvic pain, and serves on the Medical Advisory Board of The National Vulvodynia Association.
Dr. Wasserman received his B.A from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, his medical degree (M.D.) from The University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio, and his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The University of Chicago.
